Abstract

Dihydroxyacetone phosphate was prepared in 200-mmol scale from dihydroxyacetone by two procedures: reaction with phosphorus oxytrichloride and glycerol kinase catalyzed phosphorylation using ATP with in situ regeneration of ATP by phosphoenolpyruvate or acetyl phosphate.
