The reaction of aryl iodides or vinyl triflates with a variety of olefins in supercritical carbon dioxide (scCO2), in the presence of triethylamine and palladium on carbon, has been investigated. Methyl acrylate, styrene and acrylonitrile afford vinylic substitution products.
