Abstract

1b n-C5H11 H n_C5H1V\% 19 70 applied our methodology to the synthesis of pellitorine (20; and its isomer), a dienoic amide isolated from Piper guineense Schum and Thonn which exhibits insecticidal activity. 20 Dienic acids 13 and 19 react successively with oxalyl chloride and isobutylamine to afford pellitorine (20) and its isomer 21 in 86 and 93/0 yields; respectively.
