Abstract

D-Phe-Pro-Arg-OH was synthesized by Neises and Turnudo with N, N-dibenzoylornithine as starting material through the Dakin-West reaction in a very complicated way due to the difficulty in removing the benzoyl groups. Arginine can not be used directly because of the drastic conditions used.
