Abstract

Abstract Tertiary amines can be used in place of aldehydes and carboxylic derivatives as partners in the synthesis of benzimidazoles. Dehydrogenative amine activation under heterogeneous catalysis was developed for the direct transformation of tertiary amines into benzimidazoles.
