Abstract
Experimental The labeled methanol was prepared by the method of Brown, Systrom and Y~ nko.~ The diethyl carbitol was vacuum distilled over lithium aluminum hydride below 60". The reaction of the first few drops of the n-hutyl carhitol with the solid which had separated around the edge of the reaction flask was undesirably vigorous.
