Abstract
Armeniaspiroles, a novel class of natural products isolated from Streptomyces armeniacus, are characterized by a novel spiro [4.4] non-8-ene scaffold. Various derivatives of Armeniaspiroles could be obtained by halogenation, alkylation, addition/elimination or reductions.
