Abstract

New para-dimethoxyl and para-diacetoxy derivatives in the naphthalene, anthracene, naphthacene, naphtho (2, 3-c) thiophene and benzo-c thiophene series are synthesized via the trapping of o-quinodimethanes by various dienophiles.
