Abstract

Abstract The reaction of some phenacylidenetriphenylarsenanes with substituted benzylideneacetophenones in the presence of ammonium acetate in acetic acid or methanol gave new 2, 4, 6-triarylpyridines. Ammonium acetate in acetic acid and ammonium acetate in methanol were used as aza cyclization reagents.
