Abstract

The pharmacological evaluation of 3-(3dimethylaminopropyl)-3-azaphenothiazinium chloride hydrochloride (V chloride hydrochloride) showed it to be a potent hypotensive agent. The intravenous injection of a dose of 2 mg./kg. caused a marked fall in the blood pressure of phenobarbital-anesthetized dogs which lasted for about one hour.
