Abstract

Evidence in support of the previous sequence was obtained by the preparation of a mixed selenourea using an amine in step 3 that was different from that used in step 1. The diselenocarbamate salt formed from benzylamine at room temperature was treated with a large excess of diethylamine and refluxed overnight.
