Abstract

Pyrido [2, 3-d: 6, 5-d 0] dipyrimidine-2, 4, 6, 8-tetrones (PDP) 4 illustrated in Scheme 1 are an interesting class of biannulated pyridine compounds. Derivatives of 4 have been shown to exhibit antibacterial and antiviral properties [1] as well as NAD-type redox catalytic activity [2].
