Abstract

Since water-soluble derivatives of 9, lO-dimethyl-1, 2-benzanthracene and other carcinogens have shown interesting biological properties, 2a it was thought desirable to attach the solubilizing group through a position less vita12b to carcinogenic potential than the 3-, 9-or 10-positions.
