Abstract

A protected form of 3, 5-bis (phosphonomethyl) benzoic acid (Bpb-OH), a metal oxide surface bivalent anchor, has been synthesized, coupled to an amine functionality, deprotected, and shown to bind to metal oxide surfaces.
