Abstract
Methods.-All 1-methylpyridinium iodide compounds studied were synthesized in the following general manner: 0.02 mole of the pyridine compound was dissolved in 5 to 10 ml. of methanol (alternatively benzene), 0.03 mole of methyl iodide was added and the mixture was refluxed for 5-10 hours.
