Abstract
Abstract Approximate rates of the competing syn-and anti-pathways have been determined in tC 4 H 9 OK-tC 4 H 9 OH promoted elimination from two homologous series of tosylates: I- OTs trans-III (R= H, CH 3, C 2 H 5, nC 3 H 7, iC 3 H 7, tC 4 H 9) and II-OTs trans-IV (R= CH 3, C 2 H 5, nC 3 H 7, iC 3 H 7, tC 4 H 9).
