Abstract
Summary 1. Details for a satisfactory method of formation of arylamino ethanols have been developed. The procedure consists in the condensation of an aryl amine with chloro-ethyl chloroformate, then decomposition of the resulting ester with excess of potassium or sodium hydroxide. 2. Oxazolidones can be isolated as intermediate products in the second step.
