Abstract Reaction of dibutyltin oxides, x Bu 2 SnO [x= n (normal), i (iso), s (secondary) and t (tertiary)] with carboxylic acids [RCOOH; R CH 3,(Me), CH 3 CH 2 (Et),(CH 3) 2 CH (i Pr) and (CH 3) 3 C (t Bu)] in 1: 1 and 1: 2 stoichiometry were investigated.
