Abstract

Abstract MCl 3 Pic 3 (Pic= 4-methylpyridine, M= Cr, Mo) both crystalize in the triclinic space group with close unit cell dimensions. MCl 3 Pic 3 1/2Pic pair is isostructural as well. MoCl 3 Pic 3 1/2Pic has P2 1/n space group with the following cell dimensions: a= 8.595 (6), b= 17.472 (17), c= 15.911 (19) Å and β= 95.80 (6). Ligands around Mo are in the trans configuration.
