Abstract

In the Wagner-Meerwein rearrangement of 1, 1-Diphenyl-2-methyl-2-(4-methoxyphenyl) oxiran 1 an enantioselektive synthesis takes place in chiral solvents only at high pressure. The asymmetric induction reaches up to 14-proz. depend on the chiral solvent. A pressuie dependency of the product distribution also is reported.
