Abstract

The radical reactions introducing the alkyl, carbamoyl, and alkoxycarbonyl groups into the molecules of some heterocyclic compounds enable a relatively rapid and easy preparation of compounds which could be synthesized earlier only with difficulties. Such reactions were studied especially with the pyridine derivatives1- 3. We found earlier that the homolytic amidation of pyrazinecarboxamide gives 2,5-pyrazinedikarboxamide.
