Abstract

• Trimer of β-cyclodextrin has been synthesized first time through click chemistry. • β-Cyclodextrin trimer has shown much better solubility than β-cyclodextrin in water. • β-Cyclodextrin trimer may find better application than β-cyclodextrin.
