Abstract

(51 reaction, we are not aware of a similar case where a polyolefin displaces phosphine ligands. The driving force for reaction 5 is the favorable entropy of reaction since two moles of phosphine are displaced by cycloheptatriene. The discovery of reactions 4 and 5 were a direct outcome of previous thermochemical results and simple estimates made from them.
