Abstract 2-and 4-pyridinethiones (A) react with sodium N-chlorobenzenesulfonamides (1) in alcoholic solvents to N-(pyridy1thio) benzenesulfonamides (C), sodium N, N′-bis (phenylsulfonyl)-S-pyridylsulfodiimidates (D) and S-alkoxy-N-phenylsulfonyl-S- pyridylsulfimides (E).
