Abstract

Oxidation of primary aliphatic aldehydes with p-trifluoromethylphenyl (difluoro)-λ3-bromane in dichloromethane at 0° C afforded acid fluorides selectively in good yields, while that of aromatic aldehydes in chloroform at room temperature produced aryl difluoromethyl ethers.
