Abstract

Whereas both catalytic hydrogenation and sodium in alcohol reductio11 of Lu, ol-diphenyI-pt- aminogropionitriles gave cleavage products, reduction by excess lithium aluminum hydride produced the desired 2, 2-diphenyl-l, 3-propanediamines. The preparation, for pharmacologic study, of a nuinher of methylated and acylated derivatives of these diamines was carried out
