Abstract

Screening of catalytic system activities was carried out for the reaction of 4-fluorophenyldiazonium tetrafluoroborate with potassium bromide in the presence of a phase transfer catalyst (PTC: crown-ether or tetraalkylammonium salt) in acetonitrile at room temperature (Equation [1] ). The presence of fluorine substituent allowed us to use 19 F NMR spectroscopy for the fast determination of the yields and ratios of the products.
