Abstract

Nitrogen acids are a class of compounds in which the hydrogen atom(s) bound to nitrogen is highly acidic. The synthesis of imidobis(sulfuric acid) [HN(SO 2 OH) 2 ], which is the foundation for the chemistry of nitrogen acids, was first reported in 1843.
