Abstract A series of five [(acetyl)(arylcarbabmoyl) methylene] triphenyl-phosphoranes 1a–e and their thiocarbamoyl analogues 2a–e,[(alkoxycarbonyl)(arylcarbamoyl) methylene] triphenylphosphoranes 3a–e and their thiocarbamoyl analogues 4a–e were prepared and fully characterized.
