Abstract

Abstract A series of acyclic silyl diketonates,(CH 3) 3 Si (dik), where dik= dipivaloyl- methanate, diisobutyrylmethanate and hexafluoroacetylacetonate, along with a new series of cyclic acetylacetonates of the type CH 3 (-CH 2 (CH 2) x CH 2-) Si (acac), where x= 1, 2, and 3, have been shown to possess enol ether structures in which the acyl group is positioned cis or trans to the silyl group.
