Abstract

The heterotetranuclear cluster [Pd, C~,(CO),(dppm)~](1) was synthesized in high yield by the reaction of [Co (CO),]-with [Pd2CI2 (dppm),](dppm= p-Ph, PCH, PPh,), whereas the A-frame complexes [Pd, Cl,(pY)(dppm),](Y= CO, CH,) are much less reactive. The molecular structure of 1-2.5 THF has been determined by X-ray diffraction.
