Abstract

Vanillin and its closest homologs and analogs (ortho- vanillin, isovanillin, vanillal, anisaldehyde, veratralde- hyde) can serve as convenient and available synthons for the chemical modification and preparation using them of biologically active substances for a wide range of ap- plications [1].
