Abstract

Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), such as benzo [a] pyrene (BaP), are ubiquitous environmental contaminants that are implicated in causing lung cancer. BaP is a component of tobacco smoke that is transformed enzymatically to active forms that interact with DNA.
