Abstract

The ester fraction 2 isolated by gradient elution chromatography of unsaponified beeswax on silica gel was divided into a saturated and an unsaturated fraction. The individual groups of compounds obtained by saponification of both fractions of esters 2 were further separated by column chromatography on silica gel and analyzed in detail by TLC, GLC, and by IR, MS and NMR spectrometry.
