Oxidation of the anti-Parkinsonian agent carbidopa by tyrosinase was investigated. The products of this reaction were identified as 3-(3, 4-dihydroxyphenyl)-2-methylpropanoic acid and 6, 7-dihydroxy-3-methylcinnoline.
