Abstract

The higher toxicity of neonicotinoid insecticides such as N-(6-chloropyridin-3-ylmethyl)-2- nitroiminoimidazolidine (imidacloprid) to insects than mammals is due in large part to target site specificity at the corresponding nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAChRs).
