Abstract Syntheses and cycloaddition reactions of 1-(alkylsulfinyl-and-alkylsulfonyl)-2-(F- alkyl) ethynes are described. These alkynes are strong dienophiles and produce the corresponding F-alkylated sulfinyl-and sulfonylbenzenes in two high-yielding steps.
