Thiele'prepared a-hy drazinoisobutyric acid by the action of acetone semicarbazone on hydrocyanic acid. He also synthetized a-hydrazinopropionic acid starting from acetaldehyde. Traube et a1. 3 described the preparation of a series of a-hydrazino-aliphatic acids by the reduction of the isonitramino acids. Darapski et! aZ.,* Bailey, j and Berger6 obtained these compounds by the action of a-bromo acids on excess hydrazine in alcohol or in water.
