Abstract

New bridged di-germanocenes and di-stannocenes 2 have been synthesized from a reaction between (pentamethylcyclopentadienyl) metal chloride and the dilithium salts of the corresponding linked cyclopentadienyl ligands (spacer: phenylene, biphenylene, thiophene) in good yields.
