Abstract

Abstract The amino and carboxy functions in N-Fmoc-α-amino acid and N-Fmoc-peptide methyl esters can be alternatively and chemoselectively deprotected by treatment with the reagent system AlCl 3/N, N-dimethylaniline (DMA).
