Abstract

The Richman-Atkins cyclization remains one of the most widely used methods for the preparation of macrocyclic polyamines. The use of β-trimethylsilylethanesulfonamides (SES- sulfonamides) for the preparation of polyazamacrocyclic compounds is described.
