Abstract

Reactions of LiCF CF2 with the boron electrophiles BCl (OMe) 2, BCl2 (OMe), BCl3, and CF2 CFB (OMe) 2 were studied. The salt K [(CF2 CF) 4B] was prepared from BCl3 and LiCF CF2 (excess) and subsequent treatment with aqueous KF in 76% yield. K [(CF2 CF) 2BF2] was synthesized by adding LiCF CF2 to (trifluorovinyl) dimethoxyborane and substituting methoxy by fluorine. K [(CF2 CF) 3BF] was obtained by the reaction of (CF2 CF) 3B with ...
