Abstract

Method B. 6-Amino-3-oxo-as-triazine5thione (2,720 mg, 4.99 mmol) and liquid ammonia (ca. 15 mL) were heated (oil bath) and stirred in a glass-lined stainless steel reaction vessel at 90 OC for 5 h. The vessel was cooled to room temperature, and the excess ammonia was vented off to provide a yellow residue, which was dissolved in hot methanol (30 mL) and filtered through Celite, and the solvent was removed under diminished pressure. ...
