Abstract

Chlorination of octachlorofulvalene (1) proceeds rapidly at room temperature to give two new CloCllo isomers: decachloro-2, 5-dihydrofulvalene (6) and decachloro-1, 2'- dihydrofulvalene (7) in 40 and 15-20% yields, respectively.
