Abstract

Stable isonitrile complexes of copper (I) salts such as the chloride and cyanide react with amines producing lormamidines, for which diaminocarbene/copper (I) intermediates have been established. Isonitrile complexes of copper (l) oxide and metallic copper, which are both formed in siiu, react with active hydrogen compounds and active halogen compounds, respectively, to give organocopper (l) compounds.
