A series of novel 1-ferrocenyl-2-(3-phenyl-1H-1, 2, 4-triazol-5-ylthio) ethanone derivatives was synthesized by the reaction of 3-substituted-1H-1, 2, 4-triazole-5-thiol and chloroacetyl ferrocene in the presence of sodium hydride and potassium iodide at reflux.
