Abstract: Several 5-tert-butyl-2-(dimethylamino)-1, 3, 2-oxazaphosphorinanes have been prepared. Included are the NH (3 and 4) and NPh (5 and 6) oxides and sulfides. The individual diastereomers of 3-6 were separated and the cis and trans geometries determined for 4 and 5 by X-ray crystallography (reported elsewhere) and for 3 and 6 by analogy and use of'H and 31P NMR data.'H NMR analysis established that the trans ...
