Abstract

Abstract Choline carboxylate zwitterions were prepared by two different synthetic routes through esterification of choline salts with a range of anhydrides. Their conjugation with lithium bis (trifluoromethylsulfonyl) imide resulted in the formation of stable room- temperature ionic liquids.
