Abstract 1-Alkyl-and 1-aryl-substituted derivates of 4-ethinyl-1, 4-dihydro-3, 5- pyridindicarbaldehydes 8–16 were synthesized by treating the 4H-pyrane 2 with aliphatic, aromatic and heterocyclic amines and amino acids. Their properties are discussed on the basis of nmr and uv-spectra and CNDO/S-Cl-calculations.
