Abstract

Results.-The principal absorption peaks of pure 2-s-butylfuran, 2-t-butylfuran and 2- methylfuran in sodium chloride cells of width 0.03 mm. are shown in Table I.(Absorption= 100-yo transmit.) It can be seen that seven peaks were common with only slight shift and within the same order of magnitude to each of these three compounds.
